I first met this family a few years ago at DeCordova Sculpture Garden and Museum in Lincoln. I was really happy to hear from them again last Spring, and we met up the first weekend of May at Minuteman National Park in Concord. They have such a great relationship and have so much fun together, it really makes my job easy!
I know how much everyone loves a good Fall Session in New England, but Spring is absolutely my favorite time for photos, for a number of reasons, and I’ve listed a few of them below.

Five Reasons I Love Spring Sessions
The colors and the light.
I just love the muted greens and other soft Spring light to flatter any skin tone or color palette.
Beautiful blooms.
The flowers on the fruit tress are just so gorgeous, and create a backdrop that doesn’t exist in any other season in the same way. I’ll be posting a Senior session soon that showcases some of the other amazing Spring flowers that we can find in April and May.
Lovely weather.
Spring is not too hot, not too cold, and if we have bad weather there is plenty time in the schedule to find a new date. Fall sessions get very difficult to reschedule, especially on weekends because my calendar (and yours!) gets so full.
No crowds!
Not totally guaranteed, but things tend to be quieter at some of my more popular locations in early Spring. Every photgography is super busy in the Fall and that can sometimes translate to waiting for the best spots at a given location — especailly on weekends.
